TIME: 12PM - 1:30PM (EST)

Thriving companies have goals not only associated with what happens inside of the office, but have a drive to do good work and connect to the community around them. Sometimes, the key to getting the good work done is working alongside and with your local government officials. We believe that this is an art-form.

Join George Hopkins as he shares what he is learning and has learned from doing most of his work alongside Government Officials in the City of Baltimore.

George Hopkins

George Hopkins was born and raised in Cherry Hill, a neighborhood in south Baltimore. He graduated from Poly High School and then Morgan State University as a student-athlete where he got involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). After earning his degree he worked full-time with FCA in Baltimore City and then he served as a pastor at Grace Fellowship Church in Timonium. In 2014 he partnered with twenty people to launch Sowebo Community Church—a multi-cultural church actively engaged with the community in Southwest Baltimore. For eight years George led a diverse church committed to serving the community and partnering with local leaders to strengthen the neighborhood.

In 2018 he joined BUILD (Baltimoreans United In Leadership Development) and was elected as a Co-Chair in 2020 where he continues to serve with leaders throughout the city to empower Baltimoreans to build their own future in partnership with political, corporate, and philanthropic leaders.
